A Fayetteville prostitution sting resulted in nine arrests, the Fayetteville Police Department announced Friday.

The undercover operation took place Thursday “along the Skibo Road corridor” and was a collaboration between the Human Trafficking/Narcotic Vice Suppression Unit, the Emergency Response Team, the Army’s Criminal Investigation Division and members of the Fayetteville Police Department, according to a news release.

“Investigators with the Human Trafficking Unit utilized undercover officers to pose as escorts and sex workers advertising on one of the more well-known escort websites,” the release said.

All of the nine people arrested are charged with solicitation of prostitution, according to the release.
