A favorite wood-fired pizza restaurant is returning to a new spot in west Fort Worth

Fireside Pies, one of the first wood-fired pizzerias in Fort Worth, is returning to the city, opening a location in the Left Bank shopping center only months after closing nearby in Crockett Row.

The new location, 628 Harrold St., is one block off West Seventh Street facing the busy Snooze Eatery brunch cafe.

“We always wanted to stay in Fort Worth, and this seems like a good location with a lot of growth,” said Joe Bozarth, director of operations for Carrollton-based Fireside, now owned by Golden Chick.

“This will be a smaller space closer to downtown — it’ll be someplace we can have a lot of fun with,” he said.

The Left Bank shopping center also features a Hopdoddy Burger Bar, a Creamistry ice cream shop and a Tom Thumb supermarket that includes a beer and wine bar. A Buffalo WIld WIngs is under construction.

Fireside Pies’ Crockett Row location closed in February after 12 years, citing “changing traffic” in what has become mostly a nightclub district. That wasn’t long after Fred’s Texas Cafe closed and moved to 7101 Camp Bowie West Blvd.

Fireside Pies is known for seasonal pizzas featuring Parker County peaches or Hatch New Mexico green chiles, along with brunch quesadillas and frittatas.

It has also featured desserts and holiday dinners by celebrity chef Stephan Pyles.
