Farmers, city crews and residents busy with field and leaf work
Fall is in full swing and so are the jobs that come with it — farmers harvesting their fields and city crews and residents picking up leaves, to name just a few.

Local farmers, City of Ashland crews and county residents took advantage of the sunny, warm weather Friday to do their fall duties. The temperatures were in the low 50s.
City crews began picking up the leaves on Nov. 1 and will continue until all leaves have fallen or inclement weather sets in. A map for the schedule pickup can be found on the city's website www.ashland-ohio.com or its Facebook page.
The conditions for leaf and farm work are going to turn colder this weekend and into early next week. High temps are expected to be in the high 30s for the next several days with rain forecast for the weekend that could turn to snow.
Snow, yes, the first white stuff of the soon-to-come winter, is in the forecast for Saturday night and into Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
That means the peaking fall colors may come to an end this weekend. David Parrott, fall color forester for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, said earlier this week that he expects a majority of the leaves in the area will become crispy and fall by the end of the weekend.
