Family seeks assistance after Booker home, dog lost in Monday fire

Firefighters from Booker, Perryton and Darrouzett responded to a house fire in the 500 block of South Azalea in Booker around 4:35 p.m. Monday. Despite agencies' efforts, the house was deemed a total loss, and now family members are asking for assistance.

One family dog was lost in the fire, according to a Facebook post from the Booker Fire Department, but no people were injured.

A family member who set up a GoFundMe said her grandparents, Felix and Maria Tudon, had lived in the house for more than 30 years. The page by Mitzi Camacho says: "Unfortunately, their home of over 30 years burnt down this evening, leaving them with nothing but memories. Thank God they were not injured. If anyone would like to donate clothing, shoes, house items, anything we will appreciate it. My grandparents would appreciate it! God bless all."
