Marshall's in Grandview has closed after 37 years.

Marshall's Restaurant & Bar, at 1105 W. 1st Ave. in Grandview Heights, has closed after 37 years.

A note posted to social media announced the retirement of owners Matt and Shannon Marshall from the restaurant industry.

"We are ready to shift our focus 100% onto our other business, Central Ohio Tree Trimming Service," read the post.

"Over the years, COTTS has grown and as such has become difficult to focus on while running Marshall's. We are getting older and know we just cannot keep running both businesses with the same love and dedication we have had for them in years past."

The owners noted the closing is "bittersweet" but that they were looking forward to spending more time with family and friends.

Marshall's follows the closing in recent years of other popular Grandview Heights restaurants including The Old Spot, Spagio and Sweet Carrot.

Shannon Marshall said the future of the building is still to be determined.
