Family of Breonna Taylor remembers the 26-year-old EMT

Breonna Taylor was sound asleep in her Louisville, Ky., home when three police officers forced their way inside and unloaded eight bullets into her body, according to a lawsuit filed by Taylor's family. They are now seeking answers and want the police to be held accountable for her death.

BIANCA AUSTIN: Never in a million years would I have imagined us just sitting here having a memorial for our baby. They took, like, a big part of our life away from us and she was a good girl. She just did not deserve what she went through. And we're going to get justice for her.

Because of incompetent police work, they went in her house, in the comfort of her own home, and just took her from us. She's gone. She's never coming back. Both their lives have been changed-- her and Kenny.

And we just want to thank you all for her support. And I want you all to know Brianna loved everybody. She loved everybody. And she is the reason why we're all here. She was the glue that brought everybody together. She was the baby of the family. And for us to just have to find the strength to move on without her is just going to be so hard.

And this-- and this is only the beginning. This just started. And I want Kenny to know we're fighting for you, too. You did not deserve this. And the way they portrayed you all was just not right.

And you all know Brianna, you all know our family. You know we're hardworking people. We're not-- we're not about being out here in the streets like that. Like this should have never happened.

And I just want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I just don't know how to express just the love and support we've had from everybody. It's just been a nightmare. Like, never-- never in a million years should we be here. And you all just pray for our family. Pray for my sister-- she going to need it. Like, just be there.

And I just want to thank you all and you know, #Breeway. To the end. And we're not stopping until Kenny out. We're going all the way in. And just to let you all know, the pressure has already been applied. And we're not letting up.
