New Evacuations Ordered as La Palma Lava Advances

More locals were told to evacuate their homes on the Spanish island of La Palma on Wednesday, October 20, as the Cumbre Vieja volcano continued to spew lava over a month after it first erupted.

112 Canarias said between 40 and 50 homes were under the new evacuation order as lava flows advanced further northwest.
