Here are some of Erie County's Top Performers in high school winter sports, Jan. 30-Feb. 4

The postseason is closing in for winter sports, and in some cases — team wrestling — is already here.

Here are some of Erie County's top athletic efforts from the past week:

Boys basketball

Archie Murphey, Fairview: His 21 points and six rebounds helped the Tigers beat Northwestern 67-29.

Zion Barksdale, Cathedral Prep: The Ramblers routed Fort LeBoeuf 80-31 with the aid of his 16 points.

Tyler Grove, McDowell: His 23 points helped the Trojans complete a season sweep of Harbor Creek with their 63-43 victory at Paul Goll Gymnasium.

Markus Lambert, Corry: He totaled 20 points for the Beavers when they defeated the Conneaut Eagles 71-19.

Noah Crozier, North East: He scored 14 points when the Grapepickers defeated Erie First Christian 53-46. ... North East also beat Northwestern 60-46 in part because of his 15 points.

Dylan McDonald, Girard: The YellowJackets needed all of his 16 points en route to a 58-51 overtime victory vs. Erie First Christian, followed by another 16 when they beat Mercyhurst Prep 60-47.

Logan Kibbe, Seneca: His team-high 23 points highlighted the Bobcats' 68-45 victory vs. the Iroquois Braves.

Ben Burkhardt, Iroquois: The Braves lost 68-45 to Seneca despite his 24 points, all scored on 3-pointers.

Jeremy Frazao, Fairview: His 13 points were the most for the 10 Tigers during their 60-15 victory vs. Iroquois.

Nick Krahe, Harbor Creek: He continued to be a huge low-post prescence for the Huskies with his 33-point effort during their 59-40 win against Fort LeBoeuf.

Kamden Kramer, McDowell: His 17 points helped the Trojans beat Erie High 49-39 and sweep the Royals for the regular season.

Jacob Zietz, General McLane: His 24 points highlighted the Lancers' 73-56 win over Meadville.

Derek Bly, Mercyhurst Prep: The Lakers beat Seneca 56-54 in overtime with the aid of his 15 points.

Girls basketball

Olivia Kulyk, Mercyhurst Prep: Her 23 points easily exceeded the entire offensive output for Iroquois when the Lakers beat the Braves 70-14.

Hope Garrity, Fairview: The Edinboro University recruit scored 19 points when the Tigers defeated General McLane 54-25.

Makayla Presser-Palmer, Northwestern: Her 15 points highlighted the Wildcats' offense when they routed Titusville 69-19. ... The freshman also impressed for the Wildcats with her 22 points when they defeated Eisenhower 56-36.

Mallory Hammill, Seneca: She was the most prolific of 10 Bobcats who scored (10 points) during their 56-21 victory over Girard.

Alex Cozzens, North East: Her game-high 21 points helped the Grapepickers beat the Eisenhower Knights 67-36.

Aundraya Neavins, Erie High: She scored 22 points for the Royals, who defeated Fort LeBoeuf 58-29.

Amaiya Nelson, McDowell: The Trojans needed all of her 13 points when they persevered for a 40-36 overtime victory vs. the Harbor Creek Huskies.

Lena Walz, Cathedral Prep: Doug Chuzie won his record 267th game as coach of the Villa Maria Victors/Cathedral Prep Ramblers with help from her game-high 21 points when the team won 61-31 at Fairview.

Jessica Hetz, McDowell: She scored 14 points for the Trojans who beat Erie High 50-40 at Al Calabrese Gymnasium.

Maisy Post, North East: Her 12 points were the most for the Grapepickers when they defeated the Iroquois Braves 65-21.

Lillirose Lang, Mercyhurst Prep: The Lakers beat Seneca 47-23 with significant help from her 15-point performance.

Brooke Przybylski, Harbor Creek: Her 25 points nearly matched General McLane's total when the Huskies beat the Lancers 51-28.

Peyton Kalicky, Girard: The YellowJackets defeated Titusville 34-18 with the help of her 15 points.

Wrestling

Wilson Spires, General McLane: The heavyweight's 21-second fall capped the Lancers' 28-0 start to their eventual 40-28 victory vs. Greenville during the quarterfinals of District 10's Class 2A team tournament at Sharon.

Andrew Gammon, Cathedral Prep: The 133-pounder's pin clinched the Ramblers' 37-29 victory over McDowell in the championship dual for District 10's Class 3A team tournament.

Max Spaulding, Cathedral Prep: The heavyweight's pin provided the Ramblers enough points to beat Hickory 32-30 in their District 10 3A team tournament semifinal.

Artis Simmons, McDowell: The Trojans' middleweight recorded a pin during the team's 39-30 semifinals dual win over Meadville in District 10's 3A team tournament.

Cody Proper, Corry: The 145-pounder's 15-0 technical fall opened the Beavers' 56-12 victory vs. the visiting Northwestern Wildcats in the first round of District 10's Class 2A team tournament. ... Proper also had a pin as the Beavers took eventual D-10 champ Reynolds to the wire in a 32-30 loss in the 2A team semifinals.

Magnus Lloyd, General McLane: The 189-pounder's 46-second pin was the fastest for the host Lancers when they defeated North East 51-17 during the first round of District 10's 2A team tournament. ... He followed that with an 11-3 major decision in the Lancers' 40-28 victory in the D-10 2A team quarterfinals.

Danny Church, Fort LeBoeuf: The 215-pounder had an impressive pin to get the Bison on the board during their 38-28 loss to Reynolds in the District 10 2A team tournament final.

Boys swimming

Chris Zhou, McDowell: His four wins helped the Trojans topple the Warren Dragons 119-42.

Collin Lawry, North East: He won four times for the Grapepickers during their dual with Iroquois.

Matthew Hinman, Cathedral Prep: His three wins were part of the Ramblers' 123-53 dual victory vs. Mercyhurst Prep.

Mitchell Myers, Fairview: He was a four-time victor for the Tigers when they beat Union City 123-53.

Cole Marshall, Harbor Creek: He anchored the Huskies' 400-yard freestyle relay to first place, which doubled as the difference in the team's 56-54 dual victory vs. Girard.

Tanner Pike, Union City
Tanner Pike, Union City

Tanner Pike, Union City: The star of the Bears anchored two first-place relays and also won as an individual (50-yard freestyle) during the team's 110-40 dual victory vs. Harbor Creek.

Logan Amy, Corry: The sophomore was a four-time victor for the Beavers, who defeated the Iroquois Braves 106-15.

Liam Webber, General McLane: The anchor for the Lancers' 400-yard freestyle relay was the difference in his team's 65-61 dual victory vs. Girard.

Owen Carson, Cathedral Prep: He was a triple winner when the Ramblers visited the Warren Dragons.

Swimming standings: 2022-23 District 10 boys and girls swimming/diving standings

Girls swimming

Havana Austin, McDowell: The Trojans beat Warren 97-89 when she anchored their 400-yard freestyle relay to first place in the dual's last race.

Vanessa Hayes, Iroquois: The last of her three individual victories was as anchor for the Braves' 400 freestyle relay, which was the difference in the team's 81-76 dual win against North East.

Brianne Ryan, Cathedral Prep: The freshman won three times during the Ramblers' 126-23 dual win over the Mercyhurst Prep Lakers.

Jillian Dennis, Fairview: She was a triple-winner for the Tigers, who defeated Union City 127-46.

Paige Goray, Harbor Creek: Her four victories helped the Huskies beat the Union City Bears 109-56, followed by the Girard YellowJackets 101-60.

Marin O'Lone, General McLane: She won four times for the Lancers, who defeated the Girard YellowJackets 136-31.

Maria Costa, Cathedral Prep: She won three times for the Ramblers when they competed at Warren.

Grace Tirak, McDowell: Her three victories helped the Trojans to an easy 148-26 dual win over the Erie High Royals.

Sylvia Elmquist, Corry: She set the school record with 245.10 points during the diving competition of the Beavers' 89-68 dual victory vs. Iroquois.

Girls bowling

Elena Kacprowicz, Cathedral Prep: She helped the Ramblers beat Mercyhurst Prep 25-3 thanks to her high game (215) and series (566) during Metro League competition at Rolling Meadow Lanes.

Taylor Kretz, McDowell: Her 201 game in a 560 series helped the Trojans beat Erie High 17-11 in their latest Metro League meeting.

Hockey

Braeden Martin, McDowell: His second goal also capped the Trojans' four-goal third period when they beat Quaker Valley 6-2 at Erie Bank Sports Park. ... He began this week scoring four times for the Blue team during its 6-5 loss to the Gold team in the PIHL's Class A Group 1 All-Star Game at Coraopolis.

Boys indoor track and field

DaMario Crawford, Cathedral Prep: The sprinter finished first in the 60 meters (7.14 seconds) and 200 meters (22.50) in the Green Division portion of a Northeast Ohio Indoor Track and Field Coaches meet at the S.P.I.R.E. Institute.

Girls indoor track and field

Lauren Raimy, Cathedral Prep: She was an individual gold medalist for the 800 meters (2 minutes, 23.07 seconds) and also anchored the Ramblers' 3,200 relay to first (9:52.28) in the Green Division portion of a Northeast Ohio Indoor Track and Field Coaches meet at Geneva, Ohio.
