She shared a list of five lessons she learned and realized after “working as a professional.”
“1. Use ALL your PTO every year. No one cares that you worked instead of taking time off. You’re just making your own life harder.”
“2. If you’re not getting some kind of raise year to year, find another job. They don’t care about you.”
“3. Having a job that requires a work cellphone isn’t cool; it’s exhausting.”
“4. Being the hardest working person doesn’t get you as far as you think it would.”
“5. Saying ‘No’ is sometimes necessary. Refer to number 4.”

Users were pretty much in agreement with the entrepreneur. They shared their own ups and downs in navigating work.
“They don’t put your job title on your tombstone. Stop stressing out. You are here for a short time. Enjoy yourself,” a user commented.
“Best lesson I learned was to keep my head down and do only the reasonable amount of work,” a TikToker shared.
“When I made my company $20k in less than a month & didn’t receive any type of compensation, that’s when I knew they didn’t care about me,” another wrote.
“Left a job with 500 hours of time off I couldn’t cash out. Should’ve used the hours,” a person added.
“I felt number 4 on a fourth-dimensional spiritual level,” someone said.
