Sir Elton John branded security guards at his show “turds”, “morons” and much worse as he condemned their manhandling of a female fan they were trying to remove from a gig.

The 72-year-old singer was performing in Perth, Australia as part of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour when he spotted the fan being escorted out of the venue.

Elton can be heard shouting in footage posted on Twitter: “Hey, you two security guards with the girl, f*** off!

“Let her up here immediately… come on, you c***s. Morons, both of you, morons.

“You don’t treat girls like that. Leave her alone you turds.”

John’s outburst was met with laughter and cheers from the audience.

Today Perth presenter Louise Momber told the Sydney Morning Herald: “He was so angry. He said he can’t stand violence against women and had to say something. He sang the next song and then immediately apologised for his rant – but said it’s something he’s really passionate about.”

Elton is well known for his furious temper.

Back in February 2018 he told a fan to “F*** off” and stormed off stage after she tapped him on the shoulder and asked for high fives while he was playing the piano.

Returning to the stage during his Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum theatre he told the audience, who had been gathered round the piano as he performed: "No more coming on stage during Saturday Night. You f***ed it up."

Elton’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road world tour began in September 2018 and is due to culminate in three nights at London’s O2 Arena in December 2020.
