Oilers' McDavid walks Ekman-Larsson for highlight-reel goal
This is your daily reminder that Connor McDavid exists in a different tier than everyone else.
McDavid holds the distinction of being the NHL’s best and most watchable player and the Edmonton Oilers superstar turned Arizona Coyotes defenceman Oliver Ekman-Larsson into a pylon on Monday en route to a highlight-reel goal.

McDavid runs a give-and-go with Leon Draisaitl and upon receiving the puck again, looks up at Ekman-Larsson, cuts outside and around the defender in one fell swoop, then darts inside around Coyotes goaltender Darcy Kuemper before depositing the puck into the net.
It’s hard to fault Ekman-Larsson here, a capable skater with great recovery speed, but he’s simply no match for McDavid.
Then again, who is?
