New year, new eats in Erie: Skunk & Goat adds breakfast, Middle Eastern place on the way

Skunk & Goat

Skunk & Goat Tavern, 17 W. Main St., North East, is now serving breakfast Mondays through Saturdays, 8 to 11 a.m. Its open hours are now 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays; Fridays and Saturdays 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. (Kitchen closes at 9 p.m.); and Sundays, brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and regular menu until 8 p.m.

Mr. Hungry

A new Middle Eastern restaurant, Mr. Hungry, is set to open Friday at 601 Brown Ave., according to Marwah Rustum, the wife of co-owner Qays Ommar Ahmet. The restaurant will be open daily, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The owners plan to serve all halal meats.

Donato's

Donato's pizzerias are featuring honey hot wings and pizza, as well as heart-shaped pizzas this month. The wings are five for $8.49, 10 for $13.49, and 25 for $29.49. The heart-shaped pizza is available through Feb. 14 for $14.59.

Gordon's Butcher & Market

In a belated celebration of National Meat week (Jan. 28 through Feb. 4), Gordon's Butcher & Market is giving away three bundles of fresh meat, one worth $250, another worth $150 and a third worth $100. Drawing tickets are $1, available only at the Flagship City Public Market at 32 N. Park Row. Prizes include three bundles of fresh meat. The $250 prize includes four 16-ounce choice certified Angus beef Delmonicos, four 12-ounce choice New York strip steaks, four 10-ounce premium pork chops, six 8-ounce Gordon's Famous Steak Burgers, 5 pounds of Gordon's handmade sausage links, one pound cooked beef sticks, a package of Smith's Natural Casing Hot Dogs, one package Stanganelli's Pepperoni Balls, one shaker of Gordon's Everything Bagel Seasoning and a bottle each of Gordon's red wine and garlic marinade and Pulos Greek sauce.

The first drawing takes place Wednesday at 10 a.m.
