EastEnders' Mick Carter will go to the police over Katy Lewis abuse

Mick Carter has decided to go to the police over Katy Lewis's abuse in EastEnders.
Just after the New Year, Mick (Danny Dyer) confided in his family about the childhood sexual abuse he'd endured at the hands of his former carer Katy (Simone Lahbib), but he'd decided not to go to the police.
Mick made his decision partly because he believed he was Katy's only victim, but this week's episodes have revealed that she also abused other young boys.
Linda (Kellie Bright) discovered the truth that Katy had fathered another child, Frankie's late brother Harry, with a boy named Jed who'd posed as Harry's older brother throughout his life.
In Tuesday's episode (January 26), Linda shared her horrific discovery with Mick and they figured out that Jed must have been 13 years old when Katy had his child.
Mick attempted to discuss the revelation with his daughter Frankie (Rose Ayling-Ellis), but Frankie begged him not to report Katy to the police.
His daughter's plea certainly clouded Mick's thinking over what to do, but there was some clarity when he watched Will Mitchell (Freddie Phillips) have a kickabout in the park.
Mick realised that he was the same age as young Will when he was abused by Katy — as was Jed. Later, Linda admitted she was worried Mick would be living a lie should he decide to do nothing with what he's found out.
"The real reason I never said nothing [about Dean] weren't because I was waiting for Ollie to go to school," she explained. "I didn't say anything because I was scared. I just didn't want to pile any more pressure on you.
"But I'm not living a lie anymore, and I won't let Katy turn our marriage into a lie either."
After Linda's powerful words, Mick made the difficult decision that he would report Katy to the police.
"I had my childhood ripped away," he realised. "So, it's time, L. It's time for her to pay."
