Earth Day began in 1970 in an effort to honor the Earth and the concept of peace. Since then, it has morphed into a worldwide event celebrated in more than 193 countries — and this year, it has become a star-studded cultural moment.
David Andrew Burd, better known as rapper Lil Dicky, decided to use his music to help save the planet with an anthem featuring Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Snoop Dogg, John Legend, Leonardo DiCaprio and more.
