We may be some way off heading to the jungle just yet, but the cast rumours for I’m a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! have already started rolling in.

Top of the list is Blue singer Duncan James, who has reportedly signed a big bucks contract with the show despite being terrified of jungle creatures.

An unnamed friend of the popstar and former Hollyoaks actor told The Sun that James had been approached plenty of times before to take part, but this year was the first that the deal was worth his while.

It’s thought that the pay is so good, he will even consider taking on some of his worst nightmares as a campmate.

James had previously said: “I have a massive phobia of snakes. If I saw one I’d pass out or I’d literally pee myself.

“I would never, ever be able to put my head in one of those tanks with creatures crawling about. I’d have a heart attack.”

If James does take part, he would be the third member of Blue to star in the show as Antony Costa took part in 2005 and Simon Webbe in 2008 - leaving just Lee Ryan not having entered the jungle.

James has previously taken part in Dancing on Ice, and having finished his stint in Hollyoaks in 2018, he could finally have the time for a trip to Oz.

Other stars touted for the forthcoming series of I’m a Celebrity include Peter Crouch, Ian Wright, Ulrika Jonsson, Dani Dyer and Jamie Laing.

Love Island 2019 star Maura Higgins had not even left the villa yet when her name was added to the rumoured list - fans have warmed so much to her outspoken nature that ITV bosses are thought to be keen to sign her up for more.

The 2019 series will also see the return of Ant and Dec presenting together after Holly Willoughby stepped in for Ant last year as he took time out to go into rehab.
