Duluth high-rise announces first commercial tenant

Jun. 23—Gregorich & Matack Family Dental is the first commercial tenant announced for The Lakeview, a 15-story mixed-use development under construction in downtown Duluth.

Northstar Development Interests LLC and Landmark Development announced the partnership Tuesday. In the announcement, the developer stated that the project, which began construction earlier this spring after more than a year of delays, is expected to be completed in 2023.

The Lakeview will have 19,000 square feet of retail and commercial space, plus 210 apartment units, covered parking and direct access to the Skywalk system. The complex is an $80 million project at 333 E. Superior St., next to Essentia Health's Vision Northland project.

Joe Gregorich, owner and dentist at Gregorich & Matack Family Dental, said he and Nic Matack look forward to building a new, modern dental office in their hometown. The dental office is currently located at 421 E. Fourth St.

"Our new dental office location will not only allow us to expand our space to accommodate a growing practice, but will also offer improved parking for patients, expanded services and a location that brings our practice closer to the heart of Duluth's medical district," Gregorich said in the press release.
