As Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, prepares to ring in her 60th birthday on Oct. 15, the mom to Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice is getting honest about aging and plastic surgery.

"I've had a LOT of help to look like this at 60!' the royal told the Daily Mail in an exclusive interview with her doctor, Dr. Gabriela Mercik, whom she befriended in 1992 while visiting Poland and kept in touch.

Although she's tried Botox, the royal isn't necessarily a fan of how it makes her look.

"I had Botox a long time ago when there was nothing else available," she explained. "I don’t like the frozen look. I’m so animated and I like to be myself. I don’t like the thoughts of needles and am very glad if I look well and happy — I’m really happy to be open about what I’ve had done.”

Over the years, Fergie's undergone multiple treatments, such as regenerative stem cell therapy on her feet, dermal fillers and "thread lifts," but today, she mainly relies on noninvasive treatments done by Dr. Mercik. Her new favorite, which is called the 6D PLatinum Laser Lift, was done right before Eugenie's wedding last October. It firms the skin in 90 minutes and consequently does not require any downtime.

"Above all, it was being joyful for Eugenie that made me look good," she admitted. "But I’d had some laser treatment on my face which helped, too."
