Dry and unseasonably warm temperatures are expected to continue through the beginning of December.

Temperatures are expected to stay right around 80 degrees this week, according to meteorologist Isaac Smith for the National Weather Service in Phoenix.

The highs will be between 7-10 degrees above normal, according to a tweet by the Weather Service in Phoenix. The temperature is expected to remain in the upper 70s or low 80s through Thursday, the tweet stated.

Though the warmer temperature might be a little unusual for this time of year, it's not necessarily unprecedented, according to a tweet by the Weather Service in Phoenix. Especially, because in the Southwest warmer and drier conditions are typically favored over normal conditions, Smith said.

"That is what we are kind of seeing here in the weather right now," Smith said.

Because the record highs for this week will be in the lower to mid 80s, Phoenix could potentially flirt with the possibility of breaking a few records this year, Smith said.

If Phoenix hits 80 degrees in the next two days, it will set a new record for most 80-degree plus days in November. There have been 25 days logged with 80+ degree weather in November thus far, according to the tweet.

If you are planning on working or playing outdoors this week, the National Weather Service in Phoenix reminded residents to stay hydrated.
