Authorities in Boston are investigating the random attack of a Worcester rock band member.

Adam Neufell, 20, a drummer for Young Other, was beaten by a group of young men early Friday near South Station in Boston.

Video of the incident shows at least three attackers throwing punches at Neufell. He suffered a broken nose and a concussion, among other injuries, according to a posting on the band's Facebook page.

Neufell was walking with his girlfriend at the time of the attack.

"Please keep Adam, his girlfriend Celia, and their families in your thoughts and prayers for a quick, healthy, full recovery," the band wrote on Facebook.

The band announced Tuesday morning that because of injuries to Neufell, it had to cancel upcoming shows. Young Other was slated to play Friday in Pennsylvania.

A family member posted video of the attack on social media.
