Driver in Grand Forks rollover crash identified

Jun. 15—A driver involved in a rollover crash in Grand Forks last weekend has been identified.

Austin Carl, 30, of Grand Forks, was behind the wheel of the car that struck a traffic light on Gateway Drive and North Washington Street on Saturday, June 12. Carl and his juvenile passenger, who police will not identify, reportedly suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is not yet known remains under investigation.

According to police, officers were dispatched to the crash at about 10:14 p.m. Saturday, where they found that Carl's Chevrolet Avalanche had past westbound through the intersection, struck a traffic light, and proceeded to strike four parked cars at the Galaxy Auto dealership. The Avalanche was found on its roof when police arrived.
