Drew Rosenhaus on Antonio Brown: 'I'd like him to honor his contract'

Antonio Brown has once again hijacked NFL headlines, this time on the league’s opening day.
The Raiders are reportedly suspending the mercurial wide receiver after a heated confrontation with general manager Mike Mayock a day after Brown griped on social media about being fined for missing practice.
Huge mess for Brown, Raiders
The confrontation stopped short of getting physical, according to reports, with Brown having to to be held back by his teammates.
A suspension could reportedly potentially void the nearly $30 million in guaranteed money in his contract, and Brown may miss Monday’s season opener against the Denver Broncos.

Mayock briefly addressed the situation with reporters, but neither confirmed nor denied any of the multitude of reports regarding the incident.
“Short and sweet, Antonio Brown is not in the building today,” Mayock said. “He won’t be practicing, I don’t have any more information for you right now. When I have some, and it becomes appropriate, you guys will all get it, I promise you. But that’s it for today.”
Rosenhaus on Brown playing: ‘I think it’s still doable’
Brown’s agent Drew Rosenhaus addressed the issues with Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio at Soldier Field ahead of Thursday’s matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears.
He told Florio he’s talking with the Raiders with hopes of working the situation out and wants Brown to play.
“From my perspective, I’m trying to get it to work out,” Rosenhaus said. “I’d like him to honor his contract with the Raiders, play this year, have a great season. I still think that’s doable.”
He also told Florio that a suspension has not been finalized.
“There has yet to be a suspension,” Rosenhaus said. “Nothing is final yet. I’ve been in touch with coach Gruden, Mike Mayock.
“We’re doing our best to work this out, trying to keep this relationship moving in a good direction again.”
As for Brown’s prospect of playing Monday, Rosenhaus said “I’m not optimistic that I can give you and answer to that right now.”
As per usual with all things Brown this summer, there remain more questions than answers.
