After 18 years on Burlington's Church Street Marketplace, Dobra Tea is moving — but not too far.

Dobra Tea is already setting up shop at their new location at 125 S. Winooski Ave.

Dobra Tea owners announced the move Jan. 12 on the tea house's Facebook page after the Church Street location was closed for two weeks.

"We mourn the passing of the old space, but this is also a time of great excitement: a new space means a new opportunity to clarify our vision and find ways to serve you and the spirit of the teahouse better," the post read.

The Burlington tea house was the first Dobra Tea in the United States. The Czech-based tea company was started in Prague soon after the Czech Republic was freed from communist control in the 90s. Locations spread to small towns in the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland. There are now eight locations in the U.S.

Dobra offers teas from around the world and foods to pair. The teahouse has not announced a date the Winooski Avenue location will open, but customers can order loose leaf tea online in the meantime, according to the store's Facebook page.
