DALTON, Ga. (AP) _ The Dixie Group Inc. (DXYN) on Thursday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $318,000, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

The Dalton, Georgia-based company said it had a loss of 2 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 2 cents per share.

The floor covering company posted revenue of $88.6 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported a loss of $9.2 million, or 60 cents per share, swinging to a loss in the period. Revenue was reported as $315.9 million.

Dixie Group shares have more than doubled since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen fivefold in the last 12 months.
