The basis for being successful in any daily fantasy sports contest, whether cash games or large-field GPPs, is finding value to build around. Using 4for4’s Yahoo! DFS Value Report, we can uncover some of the best values at each position for the Week 7 main slate.

Quarterbacks

Ryan Tannehill, Titans $29

The Chiefs are one of the worst defenses in football, and with all the attention to Derrick Henry, Tannehill should find rhythm in the passing game. A.J. Brown should be over the food poisoning that limited him last weekend in a game he still managed to get seven receptions and 91 yards against one of the best secondaries in football. Tannehill will also get some rushing opportunities with so much attention on Henry.

Matthew Stafford, Rams $31

Stafford will be a hard player to turn away from against his former team, and just how bad they have been against the pass. The Lions give up over 100 yards through the air on deep passes, they allow up over nine yards per attempt, and Stafford will be able to take advantage of their defense.

Running Backs

Mike Davis, Falcons $19

Davis will be less popular than he should be because of his counterpart, Cordarrelle Patterson. Still, Davis has double the number of red-zone rushes as Patterson this year, and the Dolphins have given up seven rushing touchdowns on the season. Davis has consistently seen 15 touches on the year and has an excellent chance to find the end zone coming off the bye week.

Darrel Williams, Chiefs $18

The Titans haven’t been a good run defense this year, giving up 4.4 yards per carry, and Darrel Williams is trusted near the goal line for the Chiefs. He managed to get two touchdowns last week, and if the passing offense continues to turn the ball over near the red zone, I could see the Chiefs being more comfortable running the ball near the goal line.

Wide Receivers

Robby Anderson, Panthers $11

Anderson has been a big disappointment this year and is coming off one of his worst games, but the volume is there for him to have a big day. He is consistently running a route on 90% of plays and has seen seven targets in each of the last three games. The Giants have also been beaten through the air in the previous two weeks, giving up five touchdowns to wide receivers.

DeSean Jackson, Rams $13

This year, the Lions are giving up over 100 yards per game on throws of 20 or more air yards, and Jackson’s role in this offense is deep routes. He is second on the team in deep targets despite running a route on less than 30% of plays. Jackson will have chances to make the big play in Stafford’s first game against the Lions.

Tight Ends

Dallas Goedert, Eagles $17

This is the moment we have been waiting for for quite some time, with Zach Ertz finally being on the move giving Goedert the lead spot in the tight end room. In the last three weeks, the Raiders have allowed four touchdowns to tight ends and 97 yards to Noah Fant last week. Goedert hasn’t received over five targets in a game yet, but that should increase with Ertz out of Philly.

Robert Tonyan, Packers $10

Tonyan hasn’t offered much upside this season, but he’s still running routes on 66% of dropbacks. With the projected game script, he could find the end zone in this one. The tight end position in half-point scoring such as Yahoo! is about finding a touchdown, and I will be looking towards Aaron Rodgers’ tight end for value.

Defenses

Giants, $10

The Giants are taking on the Panthers, who have given up multiple turnovers in three straight games and have allowed a ton of pressure. New York hasn’t had a good pass rush, but they have been able to get two sacks in back-to-back games. With a game total under 43, I expect this defense to be popular this weekend.

Rams, $15

This Rams defense was the correct chalk last weekend and did not get the appropriate bump up in salary against this Lions offense. They are 16-point favorites, are averaging three sacks a game, and are fourth in the league in interceptions.
