Game notes: The Pistons welcome one of the league's brightest young players to Detroit, as Ja Morant (28.2 points, 7.3 assists) comes to town. He'll face his pupil, Pistons rookie Jaden Ivey, as the two have a relationship going back to Ivey's mom working as a Memphis assistant coach. The Pistons dispatched Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday in overtime, 131-125, behind a huge Killian Hayes performance late. But Isaiah Livers suffered a shoulder surgery in the game and could be out for a few games.
