Designer Shea McGee Shares Hosting Tips In This Airbnb Online Experience
Designer Shea McGee is gearing up to share some of her best hosting tips. The star of Netflix’s Dream Home Makeover is presenting an Airbnb Online Experience in which she’ll teach participants and viewers how to design their homes with guests in mind. Whether you’re having a few people over for drinks, are welcoming extended family for a long weekend, or happen to be an Airbnb host, you’ll want to hear her expert advice.
During an interactive Zoom session, McGee goes over her personal hosting hacks and inspiration. Up to 10 guests or households will be able to book the session for $100 each. All of the proceeds benefit the IIDA Foundation, which is a philanthropic organization that supports innovation and advancements in the commercial interior design field. The experience will include a cocktail hour tutorial in which McGee will offer tips for how to recreate a chic yet casual social setting for home gatherings.
"Good design invites you in and greets you like a familiar hug, making a space and the moments experienced there meaningful and memorable–just as a good host does," McGee wrote in the experience description.
The session will take place on April 28 at 1 p.m. ET. It will also be live-streamed on YouTube at that time, so people who don’t get the chance to participate can still watch. Bookings will go live this Friday, April 23 at 1 p.m. ET here, and you can read more about the workshop here.
