Not even a broken finger will keep DeSean Jackson out of regular season action
DeSean Jackson is excited to return the Philadelphia Eagles after a five-year hiatus with the Washington Redskins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
So excited, in fact, that a broken ring finger on his left hand won’t keep him out of regular season action.

NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport first reported on the news from Tuesday’s practice, which comes 12 days before the Eagles’ Week 1 game against Washington.

Jackson is expected to start for the Eagles in the slot alongside Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor. Carson Wentz has always had a solid staple of receivers, but Jackson represents a speedy threat he has never had before.
Even at 32, Jackson remains one of the best downfield threats in the game. He led the NFL with 18.9 yards per reception last season — also leading the league in 2016 and '14 as well — and has averaged over 800 yards per season in his five years away from Philadelphia.
However, health has always been a concern for Jackson, who has played just two full seasons over his 11-year career. Jackson missed five games last season with thumb and Achilles injuries, and he’s also missed time before with multiple shoulder injuries, a hamstring malady and a back injury, among others.
