Derick Hall is one of the top defensive prospects in the 2023 NFL draft and one expert believes he will be headed to a team playing for the Super Bowl this weekend. ESPN’s Matt Miller has the Kansas City Chiefs’ drafting Hall with the 30th pick in his mock draft released Monday.

According to Miller, Hall was a riser at the Senior Bowl this past week, impressing with his size (6-foot-3, 252-pound size, 34⅜-inch arm length, and an 83-inch wingspan) and his quickness once he took the field.

This selection lines up with ESPN’s Mel Kiper’s latest mock draft, where he had Hall being drafted by the Buffalo Bills with the 27th overall pick.

In his four seasons at Auburn Hall made 146 tackles, 29.5 tackles for loss, 19.5 sacks, and forced five fumbles. The Gulfport, Mississippi, native was voted a team captain his senior season and named to the All-SEC First Team by the coaches.

The first round of the NFL draft will start Thursday, April 27, and will last until Saturday, April 29.
