Deputies conducting a wellness check find 2 dead in Lakewood Ranch, suspect murder-suicide
Manatee County sheriff's deputies found a couple dead in a Lakewood Ranch home on Friday.
A woman called and requested a wellness check on the home for her sister and brother-in-law after not hearing from the couple for a week, according to a press release from Sheriff's Office.

When deputies arrived at the home in the 7000 block of Lake Vista Court, they discovered the body of a 63-year-old woman and a 74-year-old man at an "advanced level of decomposition."
Detectives believe the deaths were a result of a murder-suicide after suspicious circumstances were noted, officials said in the release.
The investigation is continuing, and the couple's identity was not released.
