Denny, Bunch named Mooresville athletes of the week for Nov. 1-20
MOORESVILLE — Madelynn Denny and Kalyn Bunch have been named the Edward Jones Mooresville Athletes of the Week for the week of Nov. 1-20, sponsored by B.J. Pendill. The Mooresville High School Athletic Department recognizes student-athletes who display athletic excellence in all areas of competition during the previous week of athletic contests. Edward Jones is proud to recognize student athletes for their athletic achievements each week while supporting the Mooresville Athletic Department.
Madelynn Denny, senior, girls basketball
Madelynn scored 22 and 15 points respectively in a 56-36 win over Northview and a 47-44 loss to Bedford North Lawrence. Madelynn is a team captain and leader for the Lady Pioneer Girls Basketball team. She is a strong academic performer off the court and we look forward to her scoring on the court.
Kalyn Bunch, sophomore, girls basketball
Kalyn scored a career high 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the Lady Pioneers 64-56 loss to Ben Davis. Kalyn then finished with 9 points and 6 rebounds in Mooresville’s 53-44 defeat at Lawrence North. Kalyn Bunch is a leader on and off the court for Mooresville and continues to improve as a basketball player.
