Demi Moore's daughters speak on her sobriety relapse: 'A monster came'

Demi Moore's daughters have recalled the struggles they experienced when their mother suffered a drink relapse while the Hollywood actor was trying to remain sober.

In an upcoming instalment of Jada Pinkett Smith's Red Table Talk, which has been previewed by People, Moore, 56, sits down for a candid chat along with daughters Rumer, 31, Scout, 28, and Tallulah, 25, whom she shares with Bruce Willis.

Speaking about her mother’s relapse, Tallulah shared: “It’s like the sun went down and like, a monster came. I remember there’s just the anxiety that would come up in my body when I could sense that her eyes were shutting a little bit more, the way she was speaking.

Rumer noted that it was "jarring", while Tallulah went on: “It was very weird, and there were moments where it would get angry. I recall being very upset and kind of treating her like a child and speaking to her like a child. It was not the mom that we had grown up with.”

The interview comes in the wake of Moore’s memoir, Inside Out, released last month in which she discusses her relapse.

In the book she also claims she and ex-husband Ashton Kutcher took part in threesomes while they were married, although she suggested that she now views it as a "mistake".

Moore married Kutcher, who is 15 years her junior, in 2005 before divorcing in 2013.

He went on to wed That '70s Show co-star Mila Kunis in 2015, with whom he shares daughter Wyatt, five, and two-year-old son Dimitri.
