Last year, in the throes of the pandemic, Walmart planned a Black Friday like no other. "Customers trust Walmart to deliver an amazing Black Friday year after year. Although this year's event looks different, our commitment to what our customers depend on us for—the absolute best prices of the season on hot gifts from top brands—hasn't changed," said Scott McCall, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer for Walmart U.S. in a press release.

There's already a landing page on Walmart's website where Black Friday 2021 deals will be posted. Some are already available, but you should keep checking back in as November 26 gets closer.

How will Walmart's Black Friday sale be different?

It looks like Walmart is following suit with last year's process—there will still be killer deals, but the in-store shopping experience may look very different. Walmart is once again closed on Thanksgiving Day, but thankfully your shopping can start way earlier, since Walmart is bringing back its "Black Friday Deals for Days" three-day sale event and has discounts live on their site ahead of the holiday.

When is Walmart's Black Friday Sale?

Instead of offering their best holiday sales on one day only, you'll have three dates to get your hands on all of the electronics, kitchen appliances, and other housewares. All of the sales start online before becoming available in stores, with the first hitting at the beginning of the month, at 7p.m. EST on November 3, then in stores at 5a.m. local time on November 5. The final shopping event is taking place on Monday, November 22 at 7 p.m. EST and continuing in stores at 5 a.m. local time on Friday, November 26.

If you're a Walmart+ member, you'll be granted early access to the shopping event and can begin browsing four hours ahead of everyone else. This membership costs $98 a year or $12.95 a month, and includes free delivery and shipping with no minimum spending requirement.

Does Walmart deliver?

Walmart is actually extending their store delivery hours nationwide in time for your Black Friday shopping. Delivery hours will now last until 10p.m. local time, so customers can place orders until 6p.m. local time for same day or next day delivery. Along with this change, Walmart is increasing the number of items available for delivery from local stores to include oversized items like bikes, TVs, and even Christmas trees.
