Motorcycle rider dies in Hamilton county crash Monday evening

A motorcycle rider was killed in a Hamilton County crash with a pickup Monday afternoon, according to investigators.

Jeremy Chris of Atlanta, 45, was riding a Suzuki motorcycle when the crash occurred just before 4 p.m. at the intersection of 276th Street and Devaney Road. Chris was pronounced dead the scene of the crash by paramedics, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

An initial investigation showed a Chevy Silverado was westbound on 276th Street turning left onto southbound Devaney Road when it entered the path of the motorcycle, causing the vehicles to collide, according to the sheriff’s office.

The roadway was closed from 4:00 p.m. to 5:52 p.m. Monday for the on scene investigation.
