Dave Chappelle isn't letting a pandemic stop him from performing live (from a safe distance).

Less than a month after performing three sold out socially-distanced shows at Stubb's BBQ in Austin, Texas the comedian will return to the Red River Cultural District venue for a 10-night residency.

For five of the shows he will be joined by fellow comedian, podcaster and newly-minted Austinite, Joe Rogan. The rest of the shows are billed as "Dave Chappelle and Friends."

Tickets to the shows, which kick off on Dec. 8 and continue through Dec. 20, go on sale Friday at noon. Like the November shows, they are not for the faint of wallet. Tickets are sold by tables of four to six and are priced at $250 per person (even for the limited view seats). Only one party will be seated at each table.

All ticket holders will get a rapid COVID-19 test upon arrival, and masks will be required in the venue. Also, cell phones are banned.

The announcement of Chapelle's latest residency comes days after the comedian's Netflix special topped off YouTube's list of top-trending videos of 2020.

Dave Chappelle special, this 'SNL' sketch were among YouTube's top-trending videos of 2020

According to YouTube, the video "8:46 - Dave Chappelle" has amassed more than 29 million views since it was published on the video website on June 11, 2020.

The comedian took a serious tone in the segment, opening up about the death of George Floyd in police custody. The title of the set, which aired on Netflix's YouTube comedy hub, "Netflix Is A Joke," for free viewing on June 11, 2020, is a reference to Floyd's death, in which former police officer Derek Chauvin kneeled on Floyd's neck for 8 minutes and 46 seconds.
