'Dancing On Ice' bosses want to sign 'Love Island' bad girl Maura Higgins after dropping winner Amber Gill
Dancing On Ice bosses have reportedly passed on signing Love Island winner Amber Gill after setting their sights on Maura Higgins.
Gill, 21, won the ITV2 dating show with Greg O’Shea and was in talks to compete in the new series of the ITV skating show. But The Sun reports the beauty therapist has lost out to feisty Irish model Higgins.
The 28-year-old divided Love Island viewers with her forceful pursuit of Curtis Pritchard - which prompted 32 Ofcom complaints - and was branded a b***h for her treatment of rival Amy Hart.
But Dancing On Ice bosses - how are said to have met with several of Love Island 2019 contestants - were impressed by her performance on This Morning giving brutally honest advice as an agony aunt.

A source said: “Dancing On Ice producers were always going to sign a Love Island star for next year’s series and they wanted a girl this time after having two guys in the past.
“It was looking hopeful for Amber but Maura pipped her to the post with her sense of humour and personality.”
Since Love Island ended Higgins has continued dating ballroom dancer Curtis Pritchard, brother of Strictly star AJ Pritchard.
The source added: “Maura is hoping Curtis can now teach her more moves, even though she will be on the ice.”

Higgins and Pritchard are still yet to become an ‘official couple’.
Pritchard told This Morning: “I haven’t asked her to be my girlfriend yet and I am not going to do it on TV. If I’m going to do it, then it’s going to be private.”
Former Love Islander Wes Nelson competed on the last series of Dancing On Ice and was runner-up in the competition, while Kim Cetinay appeared on the dating reality show in 2017 and was fourth in the skating competition in 2018.
