Dance Team: Willmar competes in Section 3AA championship

Mar. 1—HUTCHINSON — Willmar took seventh in the jazz division and also seventh in the high kick in the Section 3AA championship Saturday at Hutchinson.

Willmar had 21 team rank points in jazz and also 21 in high kick.

The top three teams from each section advance to the state tournament.

In Section 3AA, that's Orono, Mound-Westonka and Belle Plaine in jazz in that order. And in high kick, it was Mound-Westonka, Orono and Belle Plaine placing in the top three.

The state tournament is tentatively scheduled for March 12-13 at Edina High School. Class AAA and A teams also had their section tournaments Saturday.
