Follow along with live updates, as Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell speaks to the media in his weekly Monday news conference around 2:15 p.m. from the practice facility in Allen Park. Video of the conversation is at the top of this page.

The Lions (1-3) once again showed an exciting offense, with 520 yards of offense in their 48-45 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday; through four games, they've piled up 140 points already. Unfortunately, their defense is almost equally sieve-like, allowing 555 yards and 48 points (though one TD came on a pick-six thrown by Lions QB Jared Goff) to the rebuilding Seattle Seahawks. The Lions needed a third-down stop in the final minute to get the ball back for one last score, but couldn't stop Seahawks running back Rashaad Penny, who also gashed the Lions when the two teams played last season in Seattle on Jan. 2.

DAVE BIRKETT:The numbers behind the Lions' awful start on defense; is it even fixable right now?

The Lions visit the New England Patriots in Week 5 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts (1 p.m., Fox), before a bye week and then a visit from the Dallas Cowboys. The Patriots feature former Lions head coach Matt Patricia as their offensive play-caller, while the Cowboys have former Central Michigan (and Lansing Catholic) standout Cooper Rush at quarterback.
