A father’s vibe check with his kids went viral on TikTok. Now he’s officially the cool dad.
Billy Perry is an arena football kicker with over 10.5 million followers on TikTok, where he shares family content with his daughters. The father declared that sometimes kids “just need to be kids” because they have “plenty of time to be adults.” So Perry created the perfect lazy day for his children.

“Guess what’s for dinner tonight, guys? Ben and Jerry’s,” the dad said. “I’m gonna clean all y’all’s rooms up tonight. I’m gonna do all y’all’s laundry. I’m gonna give you a little extra allowance today. And I’m gonna make y’all some hot chocolate. And I got you Popeye’s chicken.”
The father explained that he wanted to do something nice for his daughters because he knows how hard they work.

“You know why I’m going to do that?” Perry said. “Because I love y’all. You know why? Because you’ve got to get up and go to school in the morning. And you got to deal with your teachers. And you got to deal with homework. And then you got to deal with practice. And then you got to come home and do it all over again. It’s time for y’all just to be kids.”
The thoughtful video received over 2.4 million likes on TikTok.
“I wish my parents were like this,” a user wrote.
“I love my parents and I’m glad they were always around and they taught me well, but I do wish they understood what you understand,” another said.
“Can you just like, adopt me?” someone joked.
