Dad Who 'Didn't Want' Dog Lovingly Sings to Collie Pup

A dad who claimed he “didn’t want” another dog was caught gently singing to the family’s new puppy at their home in West Cork, Ireland, last month.

Adorable footage filmed by Jeanette Collins shows her dad, who had “vowed” not to get another canine after the passing of their family dog, helping collie pup Molly get comfortable in her new home by lying next to her on the floor and softly singing a ballad.

Collins told Storyful that her father had been reluctant to get another pup after they lost their family dog to an illness at Christmas time, vowing not to get another dog because it was “so heartbreaking” for the family.

Now, however, Collins said that her dad and the adorable Molly are “best friends” and “inseparable”. Credit: Jeanette Collins via Storyful
