Dad can't contain his joy after daughter reveals the best news ever
OAKRIDGE — There's no better news for Barry Glosson than that his daughter is cancer-free.
23-year-old Victoria Glosson was diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma for the second time in her life in 2020. She was in nursing school and chose to continue her studies while receiving treatment. She believes her experience with cancer will make her a better nurse.
"I've never cared for people the way that I care for them now. I understand when someone's in pain, you really want to help them," Victoria said.
While her mother joined her at the hospital during her treatments, her father was working and hoping for good news. When one of her PET scans finally came out cancer-free, Victoria and her mother decided they'd break the news to her father in an unconventional way.
Victoria did the 'headphone challenge,' a TikTok challenge where the person receiving information puts in earbuds with loud music playing while attempting to guess what the other person is whispering.
