These over-the-top D23 costumes will get you in the Halloween spirit
Disney's annual exposition, D23, happened over the weekend in Anaheim, Calif., with thousands of excited fans supporting the House of Mouse. The name D23 refers to D for Disney and 23 for 1923 — the year Walt Disney founded the company. This year marked the 10th anniversary of the long-standing event. From big announcements like “Black Panther 2” to Ewen McGregor returning to “Star Wars,” the superfans loved it all.
In similar fashion to other conventions, many attendees dressed up as their favorite characters. There were costumes based on “Star Wars,” Pixar, Disney princesses and more seen throughout the convention center and even on the streets of Anaheim.
These cosplay outfits are nothing like those found at your local costume store, as people spend up to a year building a look from scratch. Nevertheless, these over-the-top costumes will give you some serious inspo for Halloween.
