Love Island star Curtis Pritchard has said he feels "betrayed" by Maura Higgins and Chris Taylor's new romance.

The trio all competed on the 2019 series of the dating show, with Pritchard and Higgins coupling up and remaining together until announcing their split in March this year.

Higgins and Taylor went public with their relationship last week, but her ex isn't entirely happy about it.

Pritchard, a professional dancer, told The Sun: "I feel betrayed by them both — two people I was very close to. When I saw the pictures, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel hurt. I was upset. How long has this truly been going on for?

"At the time I was accused of cheating, but I never did. I was always faithful to Maura."

Pritchard has previously denied rumours that he was unfaithful to Higgins with a dancer when they were together.

He added that he felt regret over not questioning his ex on her friendship with Taylor.

Back in July, Taylor denied that he and Higgins were anything other than friends.

They had briefly coupled up on the ITV2 show before Higgins established a relationship with Pritchard, while her now-boyfriend dated Harley Brash for a short while.

Upon sharing the news that they were now together, Taylor posted a photo of him and Higgins embracing on a trip to Dubai claiming he had "fell in love with my best mate".

She shared an identical snap, writing: "You’re all I ever wanted @christophertaylorofficial."

Despite his hurt Pritchard did wish the couple well, stating: "If I bump into them, I’ll just say congratulations and I hope it really does turn out to be 'the one'."
