Olivia Colman may be used to playing royalty on the big screen, but she sure is a woman of the people.

The British star, who most recently won an Academy Award for her role as Queen Anne in "The Favourite" and took over Claire Foy's role as Queen Elizabeth in the acclaimed Netflix series "The Crown," is making headlines for an appearance at the Raindance Film Festival in London on Tuesday night.

While accepting the Icon award from the festival's founder Elliot Grove, the actress decided it was time to ditch her bright red stilettos and made her way up to the podium, barefoot. Colman returned to her shoes to pose for press photos with the award, but the relatable moment nonetheless has earned some praise from Twitter.

This isn't the first time Colman has ditched her heels for a red carpet event. A Sun reporter caught the star at the 2015 BIFAs shoeless again! Scroll through above to see more of Colman's recent red carpet moment.
