CROSS COUNTRY: Bemidji State announces fall schedule, opens season Sept. 9

Aug. 8—BEMIDJI — The Bemidji State women's cross country team dropped its 2022 schedule on Monday, releasing a slate of four regular season meets and a postseason path all the way to the NCAA Championships.

The Beavers open the fall on Sept. 9 at the Dragon Twilight in Moorhead. BSU then competes at the Roy Griak Invitational on Sept. 23 in Falcon Heights.

In October, Bemidji State has another pair of meets. First, the Jimmie Invite kicks off on Oct. 7 in Jamestown, N.D., and then the Bob Waxlax Invitational runs on Oct. 20 in Sauk Rapids.

The postseason begins on Nov. 5 with the NSIC Championships in Wayne, Neb. For any Beavers who qualify, the NCAA Central Regionals are set for Nov. 19 in Joplin, Mo., and the NCAA Championships are on Dec. 2 in Seattle.

BSU's 2022 team returns seven letter winners from last season. The core features sophomore Mary Goodwin, who led the team in 2021 with two top-17 finishes and a 6K average of 23:27.51.
