Crookston teen taken to hospital following rollover

Apr. 12—One person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a vehicle rolled Saturday, April 10, in Crookston.

Police responded to Myrtle Street for a report of the crash just after 10 p.m. Saturday, according to a release from the Crookston Police Department. Upon arriving at the scene, officers located an unoccupied 1998 GMC Jimmy that was extensively damaged. Witnesses told investigators that the vehicle had been seen traveling northbound on Myrtle Street at a high rate of speed when the vehicle left the roadway, entered Wildwood Park and rolled over, according to police.

Police say that several people were seen running from the scene of the accident. According to the release, officers determined that the vehicle was occupied by three juvenile males, ages 16-17, and Pablo Salinas Jr., 18, all from Crookston. One of the occupants was ejected from the vehicle and was treated and released from Riverview Health.

The incident is active, and no further information will be released at this time, according to the release.
