Critics Choice Award nominations: Olivia Colman to compete with The Crown co-star Emma Corrin

The Crown’s Olivia Colman and Emma Corrin will go head-to-head as they compete for the Best Actress gong at the Critics Choice Awards.

On Monday (18 January), this year’s TV nominations were announced, with The Crown and Ozark leading the pack with six nominations each.

As well as Colman and Corrin competing in the Best Actress in a Drama Series category, Josh O’Connor has been nominated for Best Actor for his portrayal of Prince Charles and Gillian Anderson for Best Supporting Actress. The show was also nominated for Best Drama Series.

Netflix picked up 26 nods in total, with Unorthodox and The Queen’s Gambit each earning multiple nominations in the limited series categories.

The Critics Choice Awards will take place on Sunday 7 March.
