Crawford County restaurant inspections: November critical violations

The following restaurant inspections with critical violations were conducted by Crawford County Public Health in November:

Domino's Pizza, 420 N. Seltzer St., Crestline, Nov. 5. Poisonous or toxic materials: Storage: separation (critical, corrected during inspection). Observed cleaners placed on same shelf as clean equipment and utensils. Ensure there is a separate, designated location for cleaners. Operator moved cleaners correcting the violation.

Main Street Grill, 819 E. Main St., Crestline, Nov. 18. Preventing contamination from hands - bare hand contact (critical, corrected during inspection). Ensure barriers (gloves, tongs, etc.) are used when handling ready-to-eat foods such as toast, buns, pickles, etc. Corrected during inspection. Time/temperature controlled for safety food - hot holding (critical, corrected during inspection). Observed sausage hot holding on steamtable at 100 degrees. Ensure deeper pans are used on steamtable so foods stay at or above 135 degrees (shallow pan was used to hold sausage). Sausage was discarded during inspection, correcting the violation.

Hot Wok, 402 E. Main St., Crestline, Nov. 23. Gloves - use limitation (critical, corrected during inspection). Ensure gloves are changed when changing tasks at the facility.

Bucyrus Duchess Shoppe #1116, 1880 E. Mansfield St., Bucyrus, Nov. 29. Refrigerated, ready-to-eat, potentially hazardous foods not properly date marked (critical, corrected during inspection). Observed a Ziploc bag of eggs dated for Dec. 25 and another bag of eggs and sausage in walk-in-cooler without a date. Observed an open container of buffalo chicken in prep cooler without a date. Manager was working on placing correct dates on products.
