Coyotes' Oliver Ekman-Larsson attacked by family dog, hospitalized in May
A terrible story emerged today when Arizona Coyotes captain Oliver Ekman-Larsson confirmed that he was attacked by his family dog and hospitalized in Sweden back in May. The defenceman was given stitches on his hand, plus a tetanus shot and ten days of antibiotics.
The story was shared by first by Swedish outlet SportExpressen, and Ekman-Larsson followed up on his Twitter to explain to fans that he is doing fine and healing well.

Coyotes President of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Chayka told AzCentral that Ekman-Larsson is "fully healthy" after treatment.
Ekman-Larsson shared that his family unfortunately had to put down the dog, a shepherd, which the family owned for 6-7 years.
According to the translated article, there had been similar incidents in the past and with having young children and family around, it was the recommended direction.
