COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update

QUÉBEC CITY, Jan. 26, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:

  • 4,150 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 845,564*;

  • 73 new deaths, for a total of 13,009 deaths;

  • 3,270 hospitalizations, for a decrease of 8 compared to the previous day;

  • 252 people in intensive care, for a decrease of 11 compared to the previous day;

  • 38,734 samples conducted on January 24.

*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.


  • 86,062 doses administered are added, that is 80,131 doses in the last 24 hours and 5,931 doses before January 25, for a total of 17,337,953 doses administered in Québec. Outside Québec, a total of 270,569 doses were administered, for a cumulative total of 17,608,522 doses received by Quebecers.
