Couple killed in Madison County fire identified

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the identities of the two individuals who died in a house fire in the town of Fenner last Thursday.

The couple was Victor H. Fingar, 86, and Judith A. Fingar, 82, authorities said. They resided there.

The Madison County 911 Center received a call around 12:30 a.m. that day regarding the fire. The home was engulfed in flames when the Cazenovia Fire Department first arrived at 3205 Larkin Road.

According to Madison County Fire Coordinator Doug Shattuck, the cause of the fire is still under investigation, however, the home did not have any smoke alarms.
